Calling all birthday people, bachelors, bachelorettes, networking groups, businesses, boy scouts, non-profits, introverts, and stay-at-home parents. Take that, SEO!
PYBH Ceramics is now offering hand building ceramics classes on Long Island, New York brought directly to your home, business, or event space. We bring all the supplies to you in our dazzling blue Mini Cooper (and sometimes in our white Mazda named Honeydew).
Attendees will learn the basics of hand building with clay using slab, coil, and pinching techniques to create items such as mugs, bowls, or sculptures.
From kids birthday parties to adults just looking for something new to try, pottery events will leave everyone with a long-lasting memory of the creation process and a keepsake to cherish forever.
Be aware: hand building is not the same as wheel throwing. We do not offer wheel throwing events.

Other important information:
A non-refundable deposit of $100 will be required upon booking.
If you book an event and less people show up than expected, you must still pay for everyone you originally booked.
Freshly made pottery takes at least one (1) week to slowly dry before it can be put in the kiln for the first firing, then it undergoes another firing after glazing. You will receive your finished pieces within three (3) to four (4) weeks of your event date.
Each person may individually choose which glaze color they would like us to apply. You do not glaze yourself! You pick a single color and we will apply it at our home studio where the final firing takes place.
Your functional pieces (mugs, bowls, etc.) will be food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
We will make arrangements to return the finished pieces to the event host or to the place where the event occurred. Pieces may be individually packaged and shipped to attendees who may have visited from out of state for an additional fee (the fee depends on the shape, size, and weight of the piece plus handling).
Clay is messy! We will do our best to mitigate the mess by providing aprons, tarp for the floor, and a trusty vacuum for us to suck up dust.
Due to the sometimes unpredictable nature of clay, we cannot guarantee that all pieces will be perfect. If anything happens to a piece during transit or firing, we will notify you immediately.
